Bailey and his architectural creations around our area and afar from Dean Karau’s new book on Walter Thomas Bailey. Walter Bailey was the first African-American to graduate from the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering and the first African-American licensed architect in Illinois.
