The UWF is launching a heartwarming initiative to keep local children warm this winter. Starting next week, a “mitten tree” will be set up in the Kewanee United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, inviting community members to adorn the tree with winter essentials. Donations of hats, scarves, gloves, mittens, and children’s coats are welcomed. These items will charmingly decorate the tree before being distributed to local schools during the Christmas season. It’s a festive way to support the community and ensure every child stays cozy during the chilly months. Everyone is encouraged to contribute to this caring cause.
