The Bureau County 4-H Federation steps up this holiday season with its heartwarming ‘Hands to Larger Service’ project aimed at keeping the community warm. Located at the University of Illinois Extension in Princeton, they invite residents to drop off winter accessories such as hats, gloves, and scarves. These donations will provide much-needed warmth to those utilizing local shelters and food pantries. Those interested in contributing can make their donations during business hours through December 20th. This drive not only supports those in need but reinforces the spirit of giving within the community.
“This past year, we collected over 500 winter accessories that were distributed across Bureau County and hope to surpass that this year,” shared Bureau County 4-H and Youth Development Program Coordinator, Sarah Poignant.
