Ken and Debbie Peel may have lost their house on Saturday afternoon, but there is some happy news to share. Ken and Debbie are still caring for their animals on the farm, and a calf is expected to be born on Sunday or Monday. They may have lost their belongings, including many years of memorable belongings, and their house, but Ken was still optimistic. He told me “God is Good” on Sunday. Kaitlin has collected some clothing for Ken but still needs clothing for Debbie. They are going to the Salvation Army and the First Christian Church and calling the Red Cross on Monday. They are staying with their children right now. and won’t know the status of the house until the adjuster arrives and completes an assessment. I have included some pictures of the inside of the home from Kaitlin. The second floor and attic are severely damaged, which is where their bedroom is located. The steps to the basement caught fire, so they are unable to get into the basement right now. As they sort through their house, they will likely have more items to add to the list. You can donate through two GoFundMe fundraisers for Ken and Debbie. Find The GoFundMe by Kaitlin here and by Seth Pala here.
