In a tense standoff in Elmwood, law enforcement officials arrested 27-year-old Christopher Coulter Saturday night. Coulter, a convicted felon, reportedly fired shots from his home, posing a serious safety risk to his neighborhood. This incident follows a similar occurrence last month, which also prompted police intervention. Authorities, armed with a search warrant, negotiated for hours before the Central Illinois Emergency Response Team breached the front door and Coulter surrendered. A search of his residence uncovered a firearm and ammunition. Coulter now faces multiple charges, including aggravated and reckless discharge of a firearm, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, and violation of a protective order. He is currently held at Peoria County Jail.
