In a somber update from Peoria, a 15-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 39-year-old James Miller. The tragic incident occurred on December 22nd just after 8 PM in Miller’s residence on East Arcadia Avenue. Following an intensive investigation, Peoria detectives apprehended the juvenile on December 27th without incident in the 1800 block of West Bradley. A subsequent search of the residence led to the recovery of a 9mm handgun and ammunition. The suspect is now facing first-degree murder charges and is being held at the Juvenile Detention Center. An autopsy for Mr. Miller was scheduled for December 24th as the community reels from this violent act.
