This January, Lakeshore Recycling Systems (LRS) offers a complimentary Christmas tree collection service each Friday. Residents can dispose of their real Christmas trees by placing them curbside, ensuring they’re real, not artificial, not in plastic bags, or attached to any decorations like tinsel, ornaments, and lights. Please note that trees should also not be frozen to the ground. It’s important to remember that flocked trees or those decorated with shiners, light bulbs, glitter, wire, or plastic will not be eligible for pickup. This service provides a convenient and environmentally friendly way to dispose of your holiday tree.
