The Youth Department is launching an exciting reading challenge for children from preschool to 6th grade as part of Kewanee Public Library’s (KPL) 150th Birthday celebrations in 2025. Each month, participants are encouraged to read for 150 minutes. Those who hit the target will not only earn a monthly prize but also get the chance to add a sticker to the special 150th Birthday Reading Challenge wall. To join, visit the Youth Department starting January 6th, grab a bookmark to track your reading in 10-minute increments, and claim your rewards. Once your child finishes reading for 150 minutes, stop by the Youth Department to get a prize and sticker. It’s a wonderful way to encourage reading and celebrate a significant milestone!
