Kewanee High School student Isabelle Vargas has been elected as the Lieutenant Governor of Division 17 Key Club. After a compelling campaign focused on enhancing communication, boosting club memberships, and launching a division-wide cold-weather clothing drive, Isabelle won over constituents with her persuasive speech skills during both the primary and a gripping runoff election. For the 2025-2026 term, she will lead Key Clubs across several areas, including Kewanee, Wethersfield, Geneseo, Mercer County, United Township, and Rock Island Alleman, aiming to make substantial impacts in community service and leadership development.
