In Kewanee, the Sunshine Community Services Center is marking Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with a special celebration at the Kewanee Public Library this coming Monday. From 10 AM to noon on January 20th, AmeriCorps members will engage with youth and parents in various activities and crafts dedicated to honoring Dr. King’s legacy. The event will feature story readings about Dr. King’s life and achievements, providing a meaningful reflection on his impact. Attendees will also enjoy birthday cake and snacks, making it not just an educational but also a festive gathering.
