Black Hawk College is inviting young aspiring veterinarians for a hands-on experience at their Teddy Bear Hospital event on January 25th from 9 AM to noon. This unique initiative, in partnership with the Kewanee Animal Shelter, offers children between ages 3 and 8 a chance to bring their beloved stuffed animals to the Veterinary Sciences Center for a playful and educational checkup. The session includes X-rays, weigh-ins, and even a mock surgery, giving kids a peek into the world of veterinary care. The event is free, though donations for the animal shelter are welcome, helping provide essentials like dog food and medical supplies. Join in at the East Campus on Black Hawk Road, Galva, for an engaging and informative day. For more details, contact Haley Howerton at [email protected] or 309-854-1724.
