In a remarkable achievement, KHS Band senior Brennyn Ford has received an Honorable Mention in the Illinois Music Education Association’s Composition Contest for his piece, “Fantaisie for Wind Ensemble.” This statewide competition sees hundreds of submissions each year, and Brennyn’s recognition marks the first time a KHS student has placed in over three decades.
During the event in Peoria, Brennyn participated in the ILMEA All-State Composition track, collaborating with industry professionals and college instructors. His dedication and talent have set a new standard for KHS, earning well-deserved accolades. Congratulations, Brennyn, on this extraordinary accomplishment!
