Just a friendly reminder about our 5th Annual Flock to the Rock ’25 will be Saturday, February 8th, from 10am to 2pm at the Rock Falls American Legion (712 4th Avenue, Rock Falls).
Prior to the event beginning, everyone is encouraged to visit the lower dam area (300 West 1st Street, Rock Falls), and see the eagles soaring around the Rock River. Be sure you bring your binoculars and/or camera to catch them in action.
The event at the Rock Falls American Legion will have the following speakers: 10:15 am – Northern Illinois Raptor Rehab & Education with live birds of prey.
11:30 am – Chief White Winnebago (Gerald Savage) – Native American Storytelling. 1:00 pm – Gary Metivier – Wildlife Presentation/signing of his new book.
Robert Storm, ice carver, returns once again and will be doing live ice carving outside in the parking lot area of the Rock Falls American Legion between 10 am and 2 pm.
There will also be nature and educational vendors from 10 am to 2 pm. Food will be available from the Rock Falls American Legion Axillary. This event is free and welcomes all ages.
