The Galesburg Police Department executed two search warrants earlier this month, leading to significant drug and firearm seizures. On February 4, 1.2 pounds of cannabis, 8.6 pounds of methamphetamine, and two handguns were seized from 498 Michigan Avenue, with Jordan L. Eskridge arrested. On February 6, a subsequent operation at 371 Harding Avenue resulted in additional contraband being seized, and George G. Sutton was arrested. Both individuals now face multiple charges and are detained in Knox County Jail.
On February 4th, 2025, officers executed a search warrant at 498 Michigan Avenue, leading to the arrest of 29-year-old Jordan L. Eskridge. The operation yielded a substantial haul, including 1.2 pounds of cannabis, 8.6 pounds of methamphetamine, and two handguns. Eskridge now faces serious charges, including possession and delivery of methamphetamine over 500 grams, as well as being an armed habitual criminal. He remains in custody at the Knox County Jail as the legal process unfolds.

On Thursday, February 6th, at a residence on Harding Avenue. During the execution of a search warrant, authorities seized a substantial amount of illicit substances, including cannabis, heroin, cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, and ecstasy pills, along with a Ruger handgun. The target of the investigation, 41-year-old George G. Sutton, was arrested at an undisclosed location without incident. Sutton now faces multiple charges, including possession of a firearm by a felon and various drug-related offenses. He is currently being held in the Knox County Jail as the legal process unfolds.
