Court Updates from January 13, 2025

Rahsaan Strawder: The state requested a continuance, and the defense objected to a continuance. The continuance was granted, but the speedy trial went against the state. The speedy trial is up on April 13th. A bench trial is scheduled for March 26th, 27th, and 28th. Rahsaan Strawder is charged with 2 counts of First Degree Murder (Class M Felony), 2 counts of Aggravated Battery to a Child Under 13 (Class X Felony), and Aggravated Battery (Class 3 Felony).

Nickolas Ingle: Nickolas Ingle failed to appear for a pay status. The court clerk will send a summons to Mr. Ingle for a pay status hearing on February 10, 2025, at 9 AM. Nickolas Ingle is charged with Criminal Damage/$10k-100K (Class 3 Felony) for case 2023CF367 and Driving Under the Influence of Drug (Class A Misdemeanor), Tetrahydrocannabinol Within 2 hours of driving (Class A Misdemeanor), Improper Lane Usage (Class P Other) and Failure to Reduce Speed (Class P Other) for case 2023DT47.

Daylon Richardson: The evaluation is not completed yet. A status hearing is scheduled for March 10, 2025, at 9 AM. Richardson was convicted of two counts of first-degree murder of Knox County Deputy, Nicholas Weist, by a jury on February 29, 2024.

Dereon Baker: Dereon Baker appeared in the custody of Mary Davis Juvenile Facility. The state filed an amendment to correct the spelling of Mr. Baker’s first name. The defense is working with the state to get discovery. The state also filed motions to collect DNA and fingerprints. Dereon Baker is charged with First-Degree Murder (Class M Felony) and Aggravated Battery/Great Bodily Harm (Class 3 Felony). A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for February 13, 2025, at 9 AM.

Joshua Davidson: Joshua Davidson remains in the custody of the Henry County Jail. The defense needs to look into the new information just received. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for February 13, 2025, at 9 AM.  Davidson is charged with Aggravated Fleeing/21 mph over (Class 3 Felony), Aggravated Fleeing Damage >$300 (Class 3 Felony), Aggravated Fleeing/2+ control devices (Class 3 Felony), Reckless Driving (Class A Misdemeanor), Flee/Attempt to Elude (Class A Misdemeanor), Driving on Revoked License (Class A Misdemeanor), and numerous traffic citations for case 2024CF362.

Javon Porter: Javon Porter remains in custody. The defense said they had received the fingerprint report, and Porter’s fingerprints were not on the alleged gun. Attorney Camp said the gunshot residue test was negative, and as such, Javon Porter could not have fired a gun. Mr. Camp said the state hasn’t met its burden of proof and Porter should be released. The state said there are eyewitnesses to the alleged incident, and there are numerous people involved. Mr. Camp countered that the case is related to the gun offense. Judge Patton said that the reports are pieces of evidence in the case. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for February 13, 2025, at 9 AM. Porter is charged with Attempted Murder (Class X Felony), Possession of a Firearm by a Felon (Class 3 Felony), Reckless Discharge of a Firearm (Class 4), and two counts of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm (Class X Felony).

David Boan: David Boan remains in custody. Waiting on the insanity plea evaluation. Attorney Camp will contact the doctor for the status of the evaluation. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for January 27, 2025, at 10 AM. David Boan is charged with Attempted First Degree Murder (Class M Felony), Aggravated Battery/Great Bodily Harm (Class 3 Felony), and Aggravated Battery/Victim 60+ (Class 3 Felony).

Jacob Boss: Jacob Boss called the public defender’s office because his ride fell through and he couldn’t appear in court. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for February 13, 2025, at 9 AM. Jacob Boss is charged with Burglary (Class 2 Felony), Theft $500<10k (Class 3 Felony), and Criminal Trespass to Land (Class A Misdemeanor).

Nicole Daulton: Nicole Daulton remains in custody on a $500,000 (10%) bond. The co-defendant case is still pending. The Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for February 13, 2025, at 9 AM. Nicole Daulton is charged with three (3) counts of Permitting the Sexual Abuse of a Child (Class 1 Felony).

Brandon Adams: Brandon Adams remains in custody. The defense intends to send a counteroffer to the state. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for February 13, 2025, at 9 AM. Brandon Adams with Animal Cruelty (Class A Misdemeanor), Domestic Battery (Class A Misdemeanor), and Possession of Methamphetamine (Class 3 Felony).

Juan Montemayor: They are close to a disposition. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for February 13, 2025, at 1 PM. Montemayor is charged with Manufacture/Deliver 900+ Grams Fentanyl (Class X Felony), Possession of a Gun by a Felon (Class 3 Felony), and Aggravated Unlawful Use of A Weapon (Class 4 Felony) for case 2022CF188, Aggravated Battery/Public Place (Class 3 Felony), and Battery/Makes Physical Contact (Class A Misdemeanor) for case 2021CF340, plus various driving violations.

Allatonie Housley: Allatonie Housley remains in custody. Set for plea on January 27, 2025, at 11:30 AM. Allatonie Housley is charged with Arson/Real/Personal Property>$150 (Class 2 Felony), Criminal Damage to Property $500-10K (Class 4 Felony), and Criminal Trespass to Land (Class B Misdemeanor).

Sarah Blanks: Sarah Blanks remains in custody. They are close to a resolution, but restitution is delaying the plea agreement. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for February 13, 2025, at 1 PM. Sarah Blanks is charged with Residential Arson (Class 1 Felony) and Arson of Personal Property (Class 2 Felony) for case 2024CF37 and two (2) counts of Residential Arson (Class 1 Felony) and two (2) counts of Arson of Personal Property (Class 2 Felony) for case 2024CF42.

Jose Valentin: Jose Valentin remains in custody. Negotiations continue. The state will reach out to Kewanee Police for answers to questions from the defense. Valentin withdrew the pro se motion he filed. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for February 13, 2025, at 2 PM. Jose Valentin is charged with Murder/Intent to Kill/Injure (Class M Felony) and Murder/Strong Prob Kill/Injure (Class M Felony).

Paul Higgins: Paul Higgins remains in custody. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for February 13, 2025, at 2 PM. Paul Higgins is charged with ten counts of Possession of Child Pornography/Victim <13 (Class 2 Felony), Possession of a Short Barrel Shotgun/Rifle (Class 3 Felony), and Possession of a Firearm Without FOID (Class A Misdemeanor).

Thomas Motley: The state sent a redacted copy of the Attorney General’s report for the defense expert. The state requested permission to go back into Motley’s phone. The state asked if she had permission or if she needed a search warrant. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for February 13, 2025, at 1 PM. Motley is charged with ten (10) counts of Possession of Child Pornography/Victim Under 13 (Class 2 Felony) and Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Class A Misdemeanor).

Robert Mazo:  A Plea is scheduled for March 11, 2025, at 3:30 PM. Robert Mazo is charged with Cannabis Trafficking > 5,000 Grams (Class X Felony), Delivery of Cannabis > 5,000 Grams (Class X Felony), and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis > 5,000 Grams (Class 1 Felony).

Pedro Arreola:  A Plea is scheduled for March 11, 2025, at 3:30 PM.  Pedro Arreola is charged with Cannabis Trafficking > 5,000 Grams (Class X Felony), Delivery of Cannabis > 5,000 Grams (Class X Felony), and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis > 5,000 Grams (Class 1 Felony).
