With 27,422 permits sold, Fayette County emerged as the top contributor, leading with 37 turkeys. Crossbows were favored by the majority, with 62% of hunters opting for them, while 37% chose compound bows. This milestone reflects growing interest and success in the state’s hunting activities, emphasizing the effectiveness of modern hunting equipment and techniques in achieving better harvest outcomes.
