SHARE NOW

Seven members of Kewanee FFA advanced to the District 1 Proficiency Interview competition at Geneseo High School on March 6,  2025. From these members, Kashen Ellerbrock in sheep production and Kalleigh Gale in food service entrepreneurship won their categories, advancing to the state competition in Mt Zion on March 22nd. The seven FFA members originally represented the Kewanee FFA Chaper and then won their Section 3 event to be district qualifiers. Judges scored the students based on their record books and interviews in their Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE) against a rubric, including industry knowledge, management/problem-solving, safety procedures, skill development, record book accuracy, and overall interview impression.

“We are also very proud of these FFA members who represented our Chapter well and will continue to be competitive because of what they experienced in this process!”

Congratulations to Kashen Ellerbrock in Sheep Production, Kalleigh Gale in Food Service Entrepreneurship, Payton Ouart in Diversified Agriculture Production, Emmalee Kilstrom in Agricultural Processing, Kelsey Scott in Agriculture Education, Mikayla Ouart in Equine Production Placement, and Cheyenne Orwig in Wildlife Production and Management
