Memorial Hospital recently held a community-focused dinner bringing together notable local leaders, including mayors from several towns and the hospital’s board members. CEO Ada Bair emphasized the hospital’s critical role as both a top-tier healthcare provider and an economic powerhouse for the region. Employing over 450 individuals, many residing locally, the hospital significantly strengthens the local economy. Financial contributions include $1.7 million annually in charity care and investments in innovative services like the Memorial Institute of Health & Healing. These initiatives help draw patients and professionals to the area, fostering economic growth and development.

“The strength of our communities is deeply connected to the strength of our healthcare system,” said Bair. “Memorial Hospital is not just a provider of medical care—we are an engine of economic development. By working collaboratively with local leaders, we can create an environment that attracts and retains businesses, professionals, and families who recognize the value of a strong healthcare infrastructure.”
