The Kewanee Police Department reports success following its St. Patrick’s Day safety campaign on March 17, 2025. Officers conducted strict enforcement, leading to one DUI arrest, two for driving while license suspended, and another for methamphetamine possession. Chief Stephen Kijanowski stated that the primary goal of enforcing traffic laws is to save lives. This campaign saw collaboration between local and state law enforcement and highway safety partners.
