Officers conducted strict enforcement, leading to one DUI arrest, two for driving while license suspended, and another for methamphetamine possession. Chief Stephen Kijanowski stated that the primary goal of enforcing traffic laws is to save lives. This campaign saw collaboration between local and state law enforcement and highway safety partners. The initiative was supported through federal funding provided by the Illinois Department of Transportation, highlighting the ongoing commitment to road safety and legal compliance.

“We strongly enforce traffic laws for one reason – to save lives,” said Chief Stephen Kijanowski.
