Illinois Valley Community College students recently showcased their talents at the American Chemical Society national meeting in San Diego. Emily Tran, Violet Krider, and Odin Klotz presented their experiences in organizing SciFest, a vibrant community science festival. They highlighted the festival’s role in engaging the public with science through interactive activities and presentations. Former student Eliza Atkinson also shared her research findings, bringing fresh perspectives to the event. This year, SciFest is scheduled for April 11, 2025, at 7 PM, at the Oglesby campus, promising a day filled with scientific discovery and public engagement. Excitement is building as preparations are well underway.
