Jacob Boss: Jacob Boss said he couldn’t keep his appointment because he didn’t have a ride to Cambridge. Boss was granted one last continuance over objection from the state. Cases will go to Final Pre-Trial in March. Judge Patton told Jacob Boss that he needed to find a way to meet with his attorney. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for March 13, 2025, at 9 AM. Jacob Boss is charged with Burglary (Class 2 Felony), Theft $500<10k (Class 3 Felony), and Criminal Trespass to Land (Class A Misdemeanor).

Javon Porter: Javon Porter remains in custody. They are close to an agreement. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for March 13, 2025, at 9 AM. Porter is charged with Attempted Murder (Class X Felony), Possession of a Firearm by a Felon (Class 3 Felony), Reckless Discharge of a Firearm (Class 4), and two counts of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm (Class X Felony).
Joshua Davidson: Joshua Davidson remains in the custody of the Henry County Jail. Attorney Camp said he believed he had a conflict with an individual related to the case and needed to withdraw from the case. Attorney Clark Miljust was appointed as defense counsel. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for March 13, 2025, at 9 AM. Davidson is charged with Aggravated Fleeing/21 mph over (Class 3 Felony), Aggravated Fleeing Damage >$300 (Class 3 Felony), Aggravated Fleeing/2+ control devices (Class 3 Felony), Reckless Driving (Class A Misdemeanor), Flee/Attempt to Elude (Class A Misdemeanor), Driving on Revoked License (Class A Misdemeanor), and numerous traffic citations for case 2024CF362.
Manpreet Singh: The defense filed a motion to inspect and preserve equipment from the Illinois State Police vehicle, including the body cam, dash cam, and hard drive. Judge Patton ordered that ISP preserve all audio and visual evidence. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for March 13, 2025, at 11 AM. Manpreet Singh is charged with Possession of Cocaine (Class X Felony), Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine (Class X Felony), and Cocaine Trafficking (Class X Felony).
Jeremy Colombani: Jeremy Colombani remains in the custody on a $500,000 (10%) bond. The state sent items in for testing, which were accepted in January and are expected to return in June. The state requested a continuance to July, but the defendant must agree with the long continuance or it would violate his right to a speedy trial. After discussing it with his attorney, Colombani agreed to the continuance. The defense said the DNA results from the alleged knife may be useful to the defense. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for July 17, 2025, at 1 PM. Colombani is charged with two (2) counts of First Degree Murder (Class M Felony), Aggravated Battery/Great Bodily Harm (Class 3 Felony), Obstructing Justice/Destroy Evidence (Class 4 Felony) and Mob Action (Class 4 Felony) for case 23CF84.
Thomas Motley: The state requested access to the phone so the Attorney General can look for some items possibly on the phone. Motley permitted the AG to re-review the phone and look for items of evidentiary value to the defense. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for April 17, 2025, at 1 PM. Motley is charged with ten (10) counts of Possession of Child Pornography/Victim Under 13 (Class 2 Felony) and Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Class A Misdemeanor).
Vanshpreet Singh: They have discovery issues to sort through. The truck and trailer should get returned to the owner after an inspection on February 14th. Juan Montemayor: Negotiations continue. Montemayor is gathering items to aid in the negotiations. Judge Patton said this is the last continuance. Cases will go to final pretrial in April. Montemayor is charged with Manufacture/Deliver 900+ Grams Fentanyl (Class X Felony), Possession of a Gun by a Felon (Class 3 Felony), and Aggravated Unlawful Use of A Weapon (Class 4 Felony) for case 2022CF188, Aggravated Battery/Public Place (Class 3 Felony), and Battery/Makes Physical Contact (Class A Misdemeanor) for case 2021CF340, plus various driving violations.
Jose Valentin: Jose Valentin remains in custody. The state has the defendant’s cell phone and the defendant thinks there are evidentiary items on the phone. Valentin doesn’t object to the state accessing the phone. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for March 13, 2025, at 3 PM. Jose Valentin is charged with Murder/Intent to Kill/Injure (Class M Felony) and Murder/Strong Prob Kill/Injure (Class M Felony).
Paul Higgins: Paul Higgins remains in custody. They have reached a negotiated plea but need to credit for time served in the Henry County Jail. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for February 27, 2025, at 2 PM. Paul Higgins is charged with ten counts of Possession of Child Pornography/Victim <13 (Class 2 Felony), Possession of a Short Barrel Shotgun/Rifle (Class 3 Felony), and Possession of a Firearm Without FOID (Class A Misdemeanor).
