Illinois Valley Community College celebrates standout softball player Emma Augustine, who recently earned impressive dual honors. Augustine has been selected for both the NJCAA Region 4 All-Region Team and the Arrowhead Conference All-Conference Team. Her performance at the plate has been a driving force for the Eagles this season, leading the team with a remarkable .450 overall batting average and topping the conference charts with a .589 average. Coaches and fans alike have praised Augustine’s consistency and dedication, highlighting her as a key contributor to Illinois Valley’s successful season. Augustine’s future in softball looks bright.
“Emma’s game has transformed greatly over the past year. She really matured at the plate and went from hitting ninth last season to being our lead-off hitter this year. She led the team in many categories and set the tone for many of our games,” Eagles softball coach Cory Tomasson said.
