Galesburg Police have taken Gerald Fry Junior into custody on a warrant for first-degree murder. This follows the discovery of a 49-year-old woman who was found unresponsive at 191 North Prairie Street on April 15, 2025. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. Fry was arrested on June 4th on the warrant and is currently being held at Knox County Jail as the investigation continues. Both local and state law enforcement are working together to gather more details surrounding the case. Authorities urge anyone with information on this incident to come forward. Fry is charged with two counts of First-Degree Murder (Class M Felony). Mr. Fry will remain detained pending trial. An arraignment is scheduled for July 2, 2025, at 9 AM.
