The Kewanee Elks have made a generous $2,000 donation to the United Way’s SHOES FOR KIDS project. This initiative aims to provide new shoes to local students in need. The Kewanee Area United Way president, Nancy Sutton, received the check from Elks Exalted Ruler Jeanette Gerleman, joined by board members Doug Whitmer, Marty Medley, Sarabeth Seago, Eddie Toliver, and Katie Weber. The contribution will help ensure area children start the school year with proper footwear, supporting both their comfort and confidence. Organizers hope this donation inspires others to support the important work of the SHOES FOR KIDS project.

You can donate to the “Shoes for Kids” at https://kauw.org/shoes-for-kids or mail a donation to The Kewanee Area United Way at PO Box 426, Kewanee, IL 61443.
