Engines roared and excitement filled the air as over 70 drivers put pedal to the metal at the 2025 Henry County Fair in Cambridge. Fans packed the stands, cheering on a thrilling night of automotive action. Organizers extended gratitude to the Henry County Fair Board for hosting yet another memorable event, and heartfelt thanks went out to fire and ambulance crews, dedicated volunteers, officials, and the event announcer for making the night run smoothly. Queen Miranda Reed and her court added a crowning touch by presenting the winning trophies.
Revving engines and flying debris marked another exciting year at the Henry County Fair Demolition Derby. Josh Hutchinson stole the spotlight, racing to victory in both the Lt. Weld Full Size and Bonestock Full Size categories. Jason Dykeman placed second in Lt. Weld Full Size, and Dustin Johnson took third place. Michael Beam took second place in the Bonestock division, and Rowdy Beam placed third. In other divisions, Chris Dobbels secured impressive standings in Mini Van/SUV/M-Truck and Street Stock Compact events, showcasing remarkable driving skills. Art Smutzer grabbed second place, and Austin Opsal placed third in the Mini Van/SUV/M-Truck category. In Street Stock Compact, Andrew Herring took second place, and Doug Schmidt placed third. The Youth Compact division saw Levi Fortune take top honors, demonstrating the next generation’s promise on the derby circuit. Levi Hisxon drove home in second place, and Preston Nelson grabbed third place. In the Lt. Weld Compact, Josh Dobbels scored the win, Cody Fowler grabbed second place, and Rob Detra got third place. In the Turn Key Compact category, Andrew Christie grabbed the victory, Ryan Wessels took second place, and Victor Bonnell placed third.
