Fans of classic pop are in for a treat as the Bishop Hill Heritage Association welcomes “DANCING QUEEN: An ABBA Salute” on Saturday, July 12, 2025. The celebrated tribute act takes the stage at 1 PM in Bishop Hill’s village park, providing a free, open-air concert packed with ABBA’s greatest hits. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and prepare for an energetic performance featuring iconic costumes, choreography, and note-perfect renditions of favorites like Mamma Mia, Waterloo, and Dancing Queen. This Las Vegas-style show promises an unforgettable afternoon for ABBA enthusiasts of every generation.

Tonight’s concert in Bishop Hill promises more than just music. Local organizations are serving up a variety of treats for attendees. The Bishop Hill Old Settlers’ Association is running a food stand beside the Colony Store. Over by the Steeple Building Museum, the Bishop Hill Methodist Church is hosting a bake sale. If you’re craving something cool, Uncle Bud’s Apple Cider Slush will be set up between the Prairie Arts Center and the Post Office on Christina Street, directly across from the park. Remember, Bishop Hill also features three restaurants and a bakery, ensuring no one goes hungry during the festivities.

Fans of live music are invited to the Dancing Queen concert, a free event made possible by generous support from Community State Bank, the Barbro Osher Pro Suecia Foundation, the Minneapolis Foundation, the Illinois Arts Council, and the Bishop Hill Heritage Association. The concert will take place in the village park located next to the Steeple Building at 103 North Bishop Hill Street.
