Families looking to ease back-to-school expenses have a special opportunity coming up in Kewanee. The First Christian Church, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Kewanee and the Kewanee Park District, is offering free school supplies to those in need. The giveaway will take place at the park during the community’s popular “Free Swim” event on August 2, 2025, at 11 AM. Organizers say everyone is welcome to stop by and collect essential items for the upcoming school year; no registration is required. This initiative aims to support families and ensure students start their first day fully prepared.
