Secure Your Health Screening Appointment with Bureau County Farm Bureau

SHARE NOW

The Bureau County Farm Bureau is now taking appointments for preventive health screenings. For a fee of $100, participants can receive comprehensive blood testing and blood pressure checks. Additional testing options include prostate, thyroid, and vitamin D level assessments for those interested. All results will be mailed directly to participants, and follow-up consultations are available as needed. Slots are limited, making it important to book in advance. This initiative aims to support community health by offering early detection of potential issues and encouraging proactive care. For more details or to secure an appointment, contact the Bureau County Farm Bureau.

A comprehensive health screening event now offers an expanded base blood draw package, including the Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, Lipid Panel, and Complete Blood Count. These panels assess cholesterol, glucose, protein levels, liver enzymes, and blood cell counts to help identify risks for heart disease, diabetes, and other chronic conditions. A 12-hour fast is required before testing. Optional add-ons, each for $25, include screenings for prostate-specific antigen, thyroid function, hemoglobin A1C, testosterone, vitamin D, and C-reactive protein. The screening process takes about 15 minutes, and results are mailed in two to three weeks. Follow-up consultations are also available.
