Looking for creative snack ideas? The Bureau County Farm Bureau in Princeton will host a hands-on class on assembling snackle boxes—portable snack kits great for road trips, harvest season, sporting events, or everyday convenience. Led by Susan Glassman, Nutrition and Wellness Educator from the University of Illinois, the event is scheduled for Monday, August 4th, from 3:00 to 4:30 PM. Thanks to a Consumer Education Grant, the class is free and open to adults and children ages five and up, although kids under 18 need an adult present. Spots are limited to 30 participants, so RSVP by July 28th at (815) 875-6468.
