    From 3 AM to noon CST Monday.
    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

No Foul Play Suspected in Decomposed Body Found in Princeton on July 11, 2025

Authorities in Princeton were dispatched on July 11, 2025, after a body in advanced decomposition was discovered on Friday on West Peru Street. The Bureau County Coroner’s Office reports that officers requested assistance at the scene, where immediate identification was not possible due to the condition of the remains. An autopsy completed Monday, July 14th, found no evidence of foul play. Officials have made a presumptive identification and are now working with family members to confirm the person’s identity through official channels. The investigation remains ongoing.
