Outdoor enthusiasts are invited to join this month’s Friends of the Hennepin Canal hike, set for Sunday, July 20, 2025. The group will trek the 4.2-mile “Barred Owl” segment along the feeder canal, traveling from Bridge 59 to Bridge 62. Hikers should gather at Bridge 56 on Route 92, south of Sterling, at 1:30 PM. Vehicles will then be shuttled to the starting point. Participation is free and open to everyone, with no membership required. Dress for the weather, and remember to bring water.
