Support Local Youth at Kewanee Shoe Drive and Baked Potato Fundraiser

SHARE NOW

The Gardens at Kewanee is calling on the community to support local youth with its Shoe Drive and Baked Potato Bar, held at 1415 Acorn Street in Kewanee. Organizers are seeking donations of new or gently used shoes in sizes appropriate for ages four through junior high. For those unable to donate shoes, $5 monetary contributions are welcome. Attendees can also enjoy a baked potato and soda for purchase, with proceeds supporting the shoe drive. This event offers a simple way for residents to make a difference while sharing a meal and supporting local families in need.

The effort aims to collect new or gently used shoes for youth, especially children on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming, where Foundations For Nations has reported a significant need. Donations of shoes in sizes fit for ages four through junior high are needed most, or attendees can give a $5 contribution. A baked potato and soda will be available for purchase, with all proceeds supporting the cause. For more information, contact event organizers or refer to the flyer or call 309-853-1315.
