July 28
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of South Center Ave for a deceased dog in the roadway. Officer
located the owner and returned the dog for burial.
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD to assist a citizen.
Officer met with a resident at the Galva PD in reference to follow up from a verbal disturbance the previous night.
While patrolling, officer located a loose dog in the 100 block of NE 1 st Street. The owner quickly arrived and took custody of the dog.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NE 2 nd Street for a wild animal complaint involving a fox stuck in a fence.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a disorderly conduct complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a report of the smell of natural gas. Officer could not smell anything or find the source.
July 29
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 5 th Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. Officer determined it was a young child playing with a phone.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 2 nd Street for a city ordinance violation involving grass clippings being blown into he roadway. The complaint was unfounded.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a city ordinance violation involving grass clippings being blown into the roadway. The complaint was unfounded. While patrolling, officer located a loaded garbage truck with a broken rear axle in the 500 block of SE 2 nd Street. A flatbed semi truck arrived and loaded the truck up.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of SE 2 nd Street for a report of a subject pointing a bb gun towards the roadway. Officer was not able to locate.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for an aggressive dog complaint. After reviewing video footage, it was determined the dog was on a leash and did not appear to threaten anyone.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 2 nd Ave for a disturbance involving a subject threatening residents with a baseball bat. The offender was served a written banning notice after the victims declined to prosecute.
July 30
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street to follow up on an animal complaint from last night.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of West Division Street for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. Officer located the caller, and determined it was a pocket dial.
July 31
While patrolling, officer noticed that a train had stopped and was blocking every Galva crossing. After a short bit, it moved just enough to open the SW 6 th Ave crossing, however the gates were still activated.
Officer directed traffic until it eventually moved along E/B and all of the crossings were cleared.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of North Center Ave for an illegal burning complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 9 th Street for a child custody dispute.
Officer assisted Henry Co with a traffic stop north of town.
August 1
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 5 th Street for a loose dog complaint. The owner arrived and took custody of the dog.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of Main Street, Hailie Vickers, 22, Kewanee, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of South Center Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer, along with Henry Co deputies, were dispatched to a physical altercation in the 300 block of Front Street. After follow up interviews, the victim decided not to prosecute.
Officer, along with Henry Co deputies, were dispatched to remove an intoxicated and unruly patron from the 300 block of Front Street.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NW 2 nd Ave for a complaint of theft and criminal damage to property. After investigation, it was determined that yard ornaments were damaged and a bicycle was stolen by an intoxicated neighbor. The victim declined to prosecute.
August 2
Officer, along with Stark Co Medic, were dispatched to a residence on SW 6 th Ave after a patient reportedly fell about 20 feet.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a activated lifeline activation. It was determined to be an accidental activation.
August 3
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SE 4 th Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be an accidental mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NW 1 st Ave for a complaint involving a group of juveniles knocking at the door and then running off. Officer was not able to locate.
