The courses for the Kewanee Hog Day Stampede and Hog Jog are officially marked and ready to go. Runners and walkers can choose between the 1-mile or 4-mile route, with both options open for registration. Entry forms are available at local businesses as well as online for added convenience. Organizers say they look forward to another strong turnout this year, highlighting the growing tradition and community spirit that the Hog Day events bring to Kewanee.
This year’s Hog Day Stampede returns to Kewanee on Saturday, August 30th, promising a morning of fitness and family fun. Sponsored by the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce and supported by local businesses, events include the popular 4-mile run at 8 AM, a 1/4-mile kids fun run for ages 7 and under at 9:30, and a 1-mile run starting at 9:45. The first 300 children registered for the fun run by August 18th will receive complimentary T-shirts. Act fast—registrations after August 26th will not include a shirt.
