City of Kewanee Hosts Home Safety Event Celebrating AARP Grant on August 19, 2025

The Senior Center is set to host a special event on August 19th, celebrating the recent award of the 2025 AARP Community Challenge grant to the City of Kewanee. From 3 to 5 PM, the gathering will focus on providing older adults with practical advice on safe home modifications, aiming to help them maintain independence and comfort in their own homes. Supported by AARP Liveable Communities and AARP Illinois, the session promises plenty of useful tips and resources for attendees. Community members are encouraged to participate and discover new ways to enhance home safety and well-being for seniors in our area.
