Two suspects are now in custody following a shooting incident on East Berrien Street in Galesburg. Police have identified the individuals as 19-year-old Marques McClendon and 18-year-old Darius Holloway. Both face several charges related to the illegal use of firearms. The suspects are currently being held at Knox County Jail while authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the case.

Marques McClendon, 19 years old, was located at the residence. McClendon was subsequently arrested and charged with: Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm. Marques McClendon remains in custody at the Knox County Jail.
Darius Holloway, 18 years old, was also located at the residence. Holloway was subsequently arrested and charged with: Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm. Darius Holloway remains in custody at the Knox County Jail.
Galesburg police responded to reports of gunfire Thursday afternoon, focusing their attention on the 300 block of Lombard Street. Around the same time, a gunshot victim appeared at OSF St. Mary Hospital, later determined to have been shot in the 1100 block of East Berrien Street. Authorities say the individual suffered a non-life-threatening wound and was transported for further treatment to OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria.
