September 8
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 6 th Ave for a loose dog complaint. The animal owner
quickly arrived and took the dog back home.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of East Division Street, Anabelle Twomey, 24, Galva, was arrested for driving while license suspended. She was released with a required Henry Co court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 1 st Street for a loose dog complaint. The owner was putting dogs inside house upon arrival.
Officer spoke to a subject by telephone about an abandoned vehicle within Galva’s city limits.
Officer met with a resident in the 300 block of NW 4 th Ave to answer questions about an order of protection.
Officer was dispatched to assist a motorist in the 200 block of South Exchange Street.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of NW 6 th Ave, David Johnston, 32, Galva, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
Officer went to the 400 block of East Division Street to follow up on an incident that was reported on August 17, 2025. As the result Jason Luedee, 52, Galva, was charged with criminal damage to government supported property, reckless driving and improper lane usage. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the railroad tracks near the former SW 4 th Ave crossing for a complaint involving an abandoned bicycle. The bike was impounded and later returned to it’s owner.
September 9
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of SE 1 st Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a complaint involving a neglected animal.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of SE 2 nd Street for a landlord / tenant dispute.
Officer went to the 400 block of NE 3 rd Street for a city ordinance violation involving junk being stored in the yard. The resident was advised of the upcoming city clean-up days.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a complaint involving telephone harassment.
September 10
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SE 3 rd Street for a welfare check. The subject was fine.
Officer was dispatched to the Galva PD for a complaint of an out-of-control juvenile in front of the building. The juvenile was not cooperative and the parent ultimately left and told the juvenile they could walk home.
Officer was notified about a speeding car that Kewanee PD had observed but declined to pursue. Officer located the vehicle, which quickly accelerated and lost officer.
Officer was flagged down by a parent in reference to a juvenile battery that had occurred near the 200 block of NE 7 th Street.
September 11
As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of NW 3 rd Ave, Ryan Fay, 34, Cambridge, was arrested for driving while license revoked, operating an uninsured vehicle, and use of registration not authorized by law for use on such vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on Front Street for a suicidal subject that was attempting to overdose on medications. The subject was located and taken by ambulance for treatment / evaluation.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SW 4 th Ave for a disturbance involving several subjects.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 300 block of Front Street, Helly Marquez-Contreras, 26, Kewanee, was arrested for not having a valid drivers license, operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 3 rd Ave for a suspicious person complaint. The subject had been removed during a disturbance moments earlier a few blocks away.
Officer went to the 600 block of SE 2 nd Street to return a debit card that was found at Wiley Park and turned into the police department.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street to check the welfare of a subject sitting in a vacant lot there. The subject was transported to a friend’s house and dropped off.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 9 th Street for a civil stand by to retrieve property.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of South Center Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was determined to be an accidental pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SW 1 st Ave to assist a motorist.
AS the result of a complaint in the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street, Jason Pugliano, 48, Galva, was arrested on a Henry Co warrant for failing to appear on the charge of driving under the influence of drugs. He was taken to the Henry Co Jail.
September 12
Officer was dispatched assist the fire department with a fire alarm in the 1000 block of Courtyard Estates. A faulty belt was located on an air compressor that had gotten too hot.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 700 block of NW 3 rd Ave, Anita Manary, 82, Kewanee, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance, operating an uninsured vehicle, and improper use of registrations. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SW 3 rd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to assist Henry Co with an activated aircraft panic alarm near the Kewanee airport. It was determined to be a false alarm.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 6 th Ave for a theft complaint. It was determined to be a civil issue.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 800 block of SW 2 nd Street, Matthew Henry, 20, Lafayette, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of North Center Ave for a complaint involving a juvenile fight during the Homecoming football game. This incident is still pending.
September 13
As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of Exchange Street, Tyron Taylor, 42, Kewanee, was arrested for driving while license revoked, operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance, and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was taken to the Galva DP for processing and then released with a required court date.
September 14
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 3 rd Ave for a loose dog complaint. The dog was impounded.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of West Division Street for a disturbance.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 6 th Street for a single vehicle accident. A crash report was completed.
