The Henry and Stark County Health Departments, along with First Choice Healthcare and the Henry County Office of Emergency Management, are hosting a Drive-Thru Flu Shot Clinic for adults on Friday, October 17th. The event will run from 10 AM to 1 PM at 110 N. Burr Blvd in Kewanee and is strictly drive-thru—no walk-ups will be accommodated. Bring your Medicare or insurance card, or $60 in cash or check. The three-component trivalent seasonal flu shot is available, aiming for broad protection this season. Individuals at high risk, including seniors and those with chronic conditions, are especially urged to participate.
Flu cases typically surge in January and February, and local health officials urge residents to protect themselves now. The Health Department will offer the 3-component Trivalent Seasonal Flu shot at the upcoming Kewanee drive-thru clinic, as well as at First Choice Healthcare Clinic locations in Kewanee, Colona, and Toulon. This year’s vaccine is expected to provide comprehensive protection against influenza strains circulating in the community. The drive-thru flu clinic takes place on October 17.
