The community is invited to honor Bettyann Harrison, coordinator of the Master Gardener and Master Naturalist programs, at a retirement celebration scheduled for Wednesday, October 1st. Festivities will take place from 4 to 5:30 PM at the Marshall-Putnam Extension Office in Henry, Illinois. Harrison, a Spring Valley native who has called the Henry area home for three decades, is recognized for her dedication to horticulture, education, and community service. Alongside her family’s involvement with 4-H, she has inspired many with her passion for gardening and nature, fostering a spirit of stewardship among residents.
