Landlords and tenants in Galesburg have an opportunity to learn about grant funding available for HVAC replacements in rental properties housing low-to-moderate income residents. The City of Galesburg invites interested parties to an informational meeting on Wednesday, October 8th, at 6 PM in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 55 W. Tompkins Street. City staff and representatives from the Western Illinois Regional Council will discuss eligibility requirements, the application process, and how the funding can assist property owners and tenants. Attendees will also have the chance to ask questions and gather important resources.
The initiative, backed by a $300,000 grant, is designed to enhance living conditions for low-to-moderate income tenants. City officials will outline eligibility requirements, application processes, and anticipated benefits for both property owners and renters. The program aims to increase energy efficiency and provide safer, more comfortable housing solutions. Details about the date, time, and location of the meeting are available on the city’s website.
