September 29
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of SW 4 th Street for a loose dog complaint. The dog was returned to it’s owner.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SW 4 th Ave for a verbal domestic disturbance / civil property dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 5 th Street for a utilities complaint. The Galva Water Dept was contacted for a water leak in the yard.
While patrolling, officer located a deceased cat in the roadway near a residence in the 800 block of SE 2 nd Street. Officer spoke to the resident, who took possession of the cat for burial.

September 30
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 4 th Street for a complaint involving damage to a vehicle while it was parked.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of Swank Street for a complaint involving a lost or stolen front license plate.

October 1
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a disabled vehicle. Officer directed traffic while the vehicle was towed.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SE 3 rd Street for a runaway juvenile complaint. Officer located the juvenile walking in the NE area of town. The juvenile was returned home.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of North Center Ave for a loose dog complaint. The dog was impounded.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a loud music complaint.

October 2
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 2 nd Street for a loose dog complaint. Officer located the dog but it took awhile to capture it. It was impounded. As the result, Debra Kurzeja, 66, Galva, was issued an administrative warning ticket (AWT) for allowing a dog to run at large.
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD to register them as a sex offender.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 3 rd Street for a loose dog complaint. The dog was impounded.
Officer was dispatched to the SW 6 th Ave railroad tracks for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NE 1 st Street for a juvenile mischief complaint.

October 3
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 6 th Ave for a utilities complaint after a large truck tore down utility wires across the roadway.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 8 th Ave for a low speed vehicle inspection.
Officer assisted Annawan PD with locating a driver involving in a fender-bender in their city. The subject was provided contact info to call Annawan PD for a report.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Front Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 1 st Ave for a loose dog complaint. It was returned to it’s owner.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Front Street for a telephone harassment complaint.

October 4
Officer was dispatched to assist the fire department with a small fire in a combine NW of town.
Officer was dispatched to the area of NE 5 th Street and NE 2 nd Ave for a broken street sign laying in the roadway.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 6 th Ave to assist a citizen.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4 th Street to remove an unwanted subject. Henry Co also responded and ultimately arrested John Kurzeja for charges they had for unlawful use of 9-1-1.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 2 nd Street for a complaint involving a group of juveniles loitering. Officer drove thru the area, but no crimes were being committed.

October 5
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SW 4 th Ave to remove an unwanted subject.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Main Street to recover parts of a firearm that had been disposed of.
