Fire crews responded to heavy black smoke coming from Pasquale’s Pizzeria in the 400 block of Tenney Street on Monday afternoon. Arriving on the scene around 4:25 PM, firefighters encountered intense heat and thick smoke once inside the two-story commercial building, which houses multiple businesses. The fire was located in the pizzeria’s kitchen area and quickly extinguished by firefighters. Fortunately, the restaurant was closed, with no staff or customers present. Crews remained on site for two hours. The pizzeria sustained heavy fire and smoke damage, while neighboring businesses suffered smoke damage. Fire investigators are working to determine the cause, which was not obvious Monday evening. No injuries were reported.
Pasquale’s said in a Facebook post, “Thank you to everyone who reached out to us tonight. We are working with the authorities and will update you on opening when we can.”
HRD Tack Shop said in a Facebook post, “Unfortunately there was a fire in the other part of the building..not ours. But we will be CLOSED till further notice. I DO NOT know a date yet. We have to be cleared by the fire marshal and power company. We will keep you updated when we know more.”
