Residents of Kewanee are invited to the YMCA on West First Street for a special event dedicated to fall prevention and home safety. The event, hosted by the City of Kewanee and local partnerships, and the AARP Community Challenge Grant, aims to help seniors create safer living environments. Attendees can pick up free Home Fit devices and gain valuable information on reducing fall risks in their homes. The event takes place on Thursday, October 30th, from 1 to 3 PM. Organizers hope to see many area seniors take advantage of this opportunity to learn about lifelong home strategies and enhance their quality of life.
