Central Student Council is rallying community support for the Henry County Humane Society as part of Animal Shelter Appreciation Week. Students and residents are encouraged to donate items for the shelter, such as pet food, blankets, and cleaning supplies. In return, participants will receive free admission to the upcoming Girls’ Basketball Game. The collection drive is scheduled for Wednesday, November 5th, coinciding with activities recognizing the first week of November dedicated to animal welfare. The council hopes the event will not only boost supplies at the shelter but also raise awareness about the importance of supporting local animal rescues.
You can drop off donations at 197 Fischer Avenue in Kewanee seven days a week from 8 to 11 AM and 4 to 6 PM.
