The Illinois State Police Troop 2 has activated its Snow Plan as of 5 PM on November 29th. This means that no vehicles will be towed from State roads unless they pose a hazard to drivers or there is lane blockage. Vehicle occupants will be transported to the nearest shelter or open business. All towing services will resume on Sunday. Check road conditions here before traveling. Some cities and counties have pulled snow plows off the roads for the night. Blowing snow and drifting are the main concern for overnight.
