Families in Kewanee are invited to gather at the Chrome Gypsy Compound on North Lexington Avenue for Pictures With Santa this Saturday, December 13th, from 2 to 4 PM. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be ready for holiday photos with children and pets. A $10 donation per session helps Friends of the Animals, a nonprofit dedicated to keeping pets with families during emergencies by helping with urgent veterinary bills. Organizers encourage everyone to bring their cameras and holiday cheer for a memorable afternoon while helping a crucial community cause. Pets and festive spirits are especially welcome. You will receive a print copy at the event, with additional photos sent by text message later.

Friends of the Animals focuses their efforts on ensuring beloved pets can stay with their families during emergencies. The nonprofit group steps in to help cover urgent veterinary expenses when unexpected crises threaten to separate animals from their owners. Donations are the lifeblood of the organization, as it does not receive any external funding. Because of this reliance on public generosity, their support is limited to emergencies only, rather than routine or preventative care.
