    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills of 20 to 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 20 to 30 minutes. Wind chill values this low can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Wear appropriate clothing, including dressing in layers, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Kewanee Takes Fifth at 45th Annual Anel Dura Bowling Tournament as Morton Claims Team Title

The 45th Annual Anel Dura Bowling Tournament saw fierce competition at Pin Splitter Lanes in Princeton, featuring six schools. Kewanee’s team—Kristina Quanstrom, Sofia Sotelo, Alyssa Mannella, Nyla Green, Breanna Nebinger, and Emerie Bloome—bowled a combined 3703 pins, landing them in fifth place. Kristina Quanstrom led the Boilers, scoring a 6-game total of 879 and earning a medal for her high game of 180. Morton captured the team trophy with 5106 pins, followed by Moline at 4518 and St. Bede with 4241. Galesburg scored 3942, Kewanee took 5th with 3703, and United Township had 3447. Morgan Robinson of Morton took individual honors with an impressive 1258 pin total.
