Dangerous Wind Chills Expected as Arctic Air Brings Frigid Temperatures This Weekend

SHARE NOW

The snow has ended for our area, but arctic air is moving into the area for the weekend. The cold temperatures and dangerous wind chills begin tonight, December 13th and will continue into Sunday night.  Wind chills of -20 to -30 degrees are likely. Limit time in the cold, cover all exposed skin, and listen to your body to avoid frostbite.

Roads remain snow covered. Snow plows are out working on the roads.  Travel is not advised due to road conditions and dangerous wind chills. If you must travel, check road conditions here, and keep a bag in your vehicle with water, snacks, blankets, and additional clothing.  If your vehicle becomes disabled, call emergency services and stay in your vehicle.
