December 22
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SE 1 st Street for harassment through electronic communications complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street to assist a subject that appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 6 th Street for a 2 vehicle accident with damage only. A crash report was completed.
While patrolling, officer located a vehicle that appeared to be broken down in the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street.
December 23
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 6 th Street for a loose dog complaint. The owner was contacted and picked the dog up.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Front Street to remove an unwanted subject.
December 24
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of South Exchange Street to remove an unwanted subject that was causing a disturbance. The subject was a sex offender and was ultimately transported to the Galva PD, where a sex offender registration form was completed. The form was completed and emailed to Henry Co for LEADS entry.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Front Street to remove an unwanted patron.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Commercial Street for a disturbance involving a patron damaging property.
December 25
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Commercial Street to remove an unwanted subject that was causing a disturbance. The subject was removed and transported to a nearby town.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of SE 2 nd Street for a criminal damage to vehicle complaint after a rear window was found to be broken.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NE 1 st Ave for an illegal fireworks complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SW 1 st Ave for a domestic disturbance. This complaint was unfounded.
Officer, along with Henry Co deputies, went to the 900 block of SE 2 nd Street to attempt to serve a warrant. As the result, Matthew Reges, 29, Galva, was arrested on a Henry Co warrant for failing to appear on a theft charge. He was also given a notice to appear in court on a charge of obstructing justice after giving officer a different name on an earlier complaint. He was taken to the Henry Co Jail.
Officer was dispatched to the north edge of town to watch for a reckless driver that was reported several miles north of town. Officer was not able to locate suspect vehicle.
December 26
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of Front Street to check an open door. It was secured after checking the building.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2 nd Street for a civil standby to exchange property.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Main Street for a loose pitbull complaint. Dog was secured by it’s owner.
December 27
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of West Division Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was determined to be an accidental mis dial from a passing motorist.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 7 th Street for a loose dog complaint.
December 28
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4 th Street to assist a subject that appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 2 nd Ave for a disturbance complaint involving an out of-control juvenile.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 4 th Street for a welfare check. The subject was fine.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4 th Street to assist a subject having a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 2 nd Ave for an activated burglar alarm.
While patrolling, officer removed several garbage containers from the roadway due to the high winds.
