Deputy Chief Doug Lehman is being recognized for nearly three decades of dedicated service. Lehman began his law enforcement career as a Boone County deputy in 1995, later joining the Dixon Police Department in 1999.
His roles over the years included Tactical Response Team member, department sniper, field training officer, firearms instructor, and bicycle officer. He also played a major role in launching the Eddie Eagle gun safety program for children. In 2014, Lehman was promoted to Patrol Sergeant, and in 2022, he advanced to Deputy Chief. The department extends deep gratitude for his steadfast commitment to public safety.
